'Thisis Why We Lied' by Karin Slaughter

‘Thisis Why We Lied’ by Karin Slaughter

Will Trent, a special agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in the US, has surprised his new wife Dr Sara Linton, a medical examiner, with a honeymoon at McAlpine Family Lodge, a sprawling luxury resort in the mountains where holidaymakers go to escape the corporate rat race.

In the same family for seven generations, the remote estate is now being run very successfully by the formidable Mercy McAlpine, a 32-year-old single mother with a troubled past.
