Celebrating the release of Anne Waldman’s new book ‘Tendril’ – Boulder Daily Camera

Celebrating the release of Anne Waldman’s ‘Tendrel’: 4 p.m. Sunday, Trident, 940 Pearl St., Boulder.  Celebrate the release of Anne Waldman’s “Tendrel: A Meeting of Minds,” a spritely memoir about the convergence of Buddhism and the Beat literary movement, with readings by Anne Waldman, Jeffrey Pethybridge, Shannon Sky, Zoe Brezsny, tridentcafe.com.

Teen Pride Pom Pom Headbands: 1 p.m. Sunday, Boulder Public Library, 1001 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder. Make a headband in the Pride flag colors or in your identifying colors. Supplies will be provided. Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. on stage: 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, Dairy Arts Center, 2590 Walnut St., Boulder. Parlando School is staging the classic that’s based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the Disney film, thedairy.org.

Afrobeat and Salsa Fusion Dance Party: 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Rosetta Hall, 1109 Walnut St., Boulder. Join us for Diaspora, a rooftop celebration of Afro-Latin dances with salsa lessons and non-stop Afrobeats & salsa music at Rosetta Hall, eventbrite.com.

Arts in the Open presents Alice in Wonderland: 10 a.m. Sunday, Chautauqua Park, 900 Baseline Road, Boulder. A madcap adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic where Alice chases a White Rabbit down a hole to a world where she encounters strange creatures and even stranger poetry. Guests will hike along a moderate trail and pace during an Arts in the Open production. Hikes last no more than 2 hours. Meadow Music: 5:30 p.m. Monday, Chautauqua Park, 900 Baseline Road, Boulder. Join this environmental education program as it turns 20 this year. Jeff & Paige will host a one-hour concert that will feature science- and nature-based kids’ music, educational skits, costume changes and  audience interaction/participation.
