Cunard will launch its inaugural Australian Literature Festival at Sea during a five-night sailing departing Sydney on 11 December with an impressive lineup of international literary talent.

Passengers can attend talks and workshops and learn how to write a travel story or create a picture book for kids.

Highlights of the cruise will include a panel discussion on literary trends and a trivia session where passengers can challenge the author’s knowledge. There will be ample chance to chat with the authors and get books signed. Investigative journalist Nick McKenzie will host the talks and a special session on his pivotal investigation into war criminal Ben Roberts-Smith.

When Queen Elizabeth calls at historic Hobart, the line will organise bespoke literary shore excursions on land.

The 5-night itinerary from Sydney to Tasmania will return to Sydney on 16 December. It has been designed to educate and inspire passengers with thought-provoking talks and interactive workshops.
