Vanessa Feltz and her partner Ben Ofoedu’s separation was announced last year and she’s now set to discuss their break-up in her autobiography Vanessa Bares All
Vanessa Feltz is to tell all about her relationship breakdown and her extraordinary life of ups and downs in an explosive autobiography.
Described by the publishers as a “jolting honest autobiography” Vanessa Bares All will be released on October 24. Asked to comment on the new autobiography by the Mirror, Vanessa said: “This book shocks me to the core – and I wrote it! Madonna, Boris Johnson, Miss Piggy, Dale Winton – is there a name I won’t drop?”
The publishers also appeared to have a dig at her former musician partner Ben Ofoedu, from electronic act Phats and Small, calling him an “ageing boybander” when revealing news of the book.
Announcing the deal publishers Transworld said: “From her parents planning her wedding before she could walk, to becoming the nation’s second-most-famous fat person and feuding with Madonna and Miss Piggy on the infamous Big Breakfast Bed, Vanessa truly bares it all with her trademark wit and warmth.
“Readers will also get the inside story of Vanessa’s excruciatingly public divorce, her struggles with weight and body image, and her sixteen-year skirmish with an ageing boybander before finding herself shocking single at sixty-one.”
Single Vanessa split from her long term partner Ben Ofoedu, who was in February 2023 after it emerged he had cheated on her a number of times. Last year Vanessa claimed she had been out for 195 nights in a row since splitting from her long term partner Ben Ofoedu in February 2023 as she had fun and looked for love again.
In August last year she said: “I want to fall in love and be swept off my feet. Going out has been my selfcare. I don’t like the idea of being in an empty house and not seeing anyone.”
She went on to appear on Celebs Go Dating on E4 but had no luck in terms of finding a long term relationship there. TV and radio star Vanessa, 62, met Ben in 2005 and they got engaged in 2006.
Away from romance, Vanessa rose to fame as a TV star in the Nineties, with her self titled own show and appearances on The Big Breakfast. Things went less well on Celebrity Big Brother in 2001 when she had a meltdown on screen. She has described it herself as “writing words of panic on the table while wearing a leopard-print dressing gown and dark glasses indoors”.
But she bounced back and presented BBC Radio 2’s Early Breakfast Show and BBC Radio London’s Breakfast Show from 2003 to 2022, before hosting a daily TalkTV politics and current affairs show. In June 2024 she joined Global’s LBC, where she presents a Saturday show.
She is also a columnist at the Daily Express . Vanessa is the proud holder of three Pointless trophies. She married surgeon Michael Kurer in 1983 and they had two children Saskia and Allegra before divorcing in 2000.
Vanessa Bares All: Frank, Funny and Fearless will be released on October 24 by publishers Transworld.
