Poetry collection launched at PAC

RAWALPINDI:

The Punjab Arts Council (PAC) in collaboration with Auraq Publications organised a book launch ceremony of Khalid Siddiqui’s poetry book “Ghazliat Khalid”.

The event was presided over by the famous poet Naseem Sahar while Shakeel Akhtar, Shahid Masood and Farkhunda Shamim were present as special guests.

Naseem Sahar, president of Mahfil, said that Khalid Siddiqui is strongly connected with the classical tradition of ghazal. “It is apparent that he has studied the genre of ghazal in depth due to which the traditional themes and subjects appear in his ghazal with a new style. They are connected with the ancient era as well as with the modern era, man and the issues and problems related to him are the same in every era, only their expression is called ancient and modern,” he elaborated.

The Director of Arts Council, Sajjad Hussain said that Khalid Siddiqui is an artist who excels in the art of extracting moisture from dry sand, who used artificial intelligence in arts even when this concept was not so popular among us scientists. “In the book under consideration, the reader will be able to feel the simplicity and ease of communication, which is a difficult task in poetry.

Khalid Siddiqui thanked all fellow poets, critics and others present at the event in his address.
