Little bookworms will love this Children’s Literature Festival at Fota House

Dr. Seuss said that and if you know a little person or two who love to get lost in a book, the perfect event is happening this weekend at Fota House, Arboretum, and Gardens.

This Sunday, July 7th, the What’s the Story? Children’s Literature Festival is inviting Cork’s young bookworms to a magical day of imagination, creativity, and adventure on the grounds, much of it free of charge.

There will be free events throughout the day with creative writing, illustration and poetry tables. For those who want to join the limited workshops, there will be tickets online and in person on the day, with something on throughout the day for all ages.

Kids aged from five to ten-years-old can join Queen Elsa and explore the world of Frozen in a read-a-long, sing-a-long adventure, while Belle from Beauty and The Beast will be sharing the story of a young prince cast under a spell.

There are heaps of magical picnic spots to set up an al fresco lunch too so bring some goodies to enjoy on the day from 10am until 5pm.
