Join Austin PBS for a Community Celebration

Austin PBS has a new home, and the entire community is invited to check out their space at a family-friendly daytime open house! The new Austin PBS headquarters, known as the Austin Media Center, is located on the Austin Community College Highland Campus. This unique space will serve as a creative hub for Central Texans. It features state-of-the-art studios and a soundstage that will house live broadcasts, film screenings and community forums inspired by PBS content.

Mark your calendars for a great lineup of entertainment on Community Day — the Austin Media Center’s Grand Opening on August 27 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.! Here’s just a snapshot of the family fun that awaits:

— PBS Kids Character Meet and Greet & Be My Neighbor Postcard Station
Your kiddos can snap a picture with PBS Kids characters Daniel Tiger, Katerina Kittycat, Princess Presto, Nature Cat and Buddy the Dinosaur. Between character appearances, sit down to decorate and send cards to friends and family at the Be My Neighbor Day Postcard Station powered by PNC Grow up Great®. (Character meet & greets are on a first come, first serve basis.)
