Game of Thrones Book Group meeting – Longmont Times-Call

Game of Thrones Book Group: 6 p.m. Wednesday, Barbed Wire Books, 504 Main St., Longmont. Let the games begin at this themed book group that meets every first and third Wednesday of the month. barbedwirebooks.net.

Tales of Tails story time with Longmont Humane Society: 10 a.m. Friday, Library, 409 Fourth Ave., Longmont. Storytellers from Longmont Humane Society will visit to share heartwarming tales that promote empathy and compassion towards furry companions. Participants will read “Love Me Gently: A Kid’s Guide for Man’s Best Friend.” This lesson-based story of a child and his rescue pup teaches responsible pet care, how to keep kids safe and how to prevent animal cruelty. longmontcolorado.gov.

Adventure Hike: 10 a.m. Friday, Carbon Valley Regional Library, 7 Park Ave., Firestone. Meet at the library for an adventure hike.
