The Bookseller – News – Elizabeth Day creates new writing ‘podclass’ with Sharmaine Lovegrove, Nelle Andrew and Sara Collins

A 12-week “podclass” about the writing process is set to launch later this month; “How to Write a Book” is hosted by Sara Collins, Sharmaine Lovegrove, Nelle Andrew and executively produced by Elizabeth Day.

“We all have a story in us,” organisers said. “But how do we get it out there? How To Write A Book is a 12-week podclass that guides you through the writing process: from developing ideas to experimenting with your voice and getting your finished manuscript ready for publication.”

The series is “packed full of frank, funny and practical insights as well as listener exercises to help your creative juices flow” with hosts offering “a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of books”.

Hosted by bestselling author Collins, Little, Brown managing director Lovegrove and Rachel Mills Literary literary agent Andrew, the series will also offer additional reflections from executive producer Day and is tipped as “for anyone who wants to write a book or simply wants to know how great books get written”.

“How to Write a Book” is an Elizabeth Day and Sony Music Entertainment Original Production which is produced by Imogen Serwotka.

It launches on 22nd July 2024 and will run weekly for three months—though subscribers can listen to all at once without adverts. It will be available across various outlets including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
