Bruce Harris, a writer with a track record of success in UK short story competitions, is commemorating the first anniversary of his partner’s passing from Huntington’s disease by releasing a book of poetry.
Set to be published on or near September 3, ‘The Growing Shadow’ comprises poems reflecting the couple’s shared experiences fighting the illness.
In addition to the release of the poem collection, Mr Harris has pledged to donate sales from his new book, ‘Night Traffic (Urban Tales)’ to aid the Huntington’s Disease Centre at University College London.
Night Traffic (Urban Tales) contains short stories about city life.
Mr Harris’ cast of characters includes a film and TV star saving women from trafficking, a weary man traumatised by a traffic accident, and a man from London who returns to his country roots.
Mr Harris, whose career includes a fifteen-year record in short story competitions and five novels under his belt, is recognised for his unique story-telling.
