How to buy and listen to audiobooks on Spotify


Audiobooks offer a hand-free way to consume literature, whether on a long drive or relaxing at home. While Spotify is primarily known for its music and podcast library, it has made audiobooks available for you to enjoy. We’ll walk you through how to buy audiobooks on Spotify, so you’re never without a good book.

  1. Click on the Play button with a padlock sign.
  2. Select Get email to receive a direct link to buy the audiobook in your mail inbox.
  3. In the mail, tap on Buy Audiobook to visit the website to purchase the audiobook.
  4. On the website, select Buy to begin the checkout process.
  5. Once you finish the process, the audiobook is yours.

Note: You can only buy audiobooks on the Spotify web app. However, you can find and listen to your purchased titles on both mobile and desktop.

After you’ve bought the audiobook, you can listen to it on Spotify by following these steps:

  1. On your Spotify app, go to your Your Library.
  2. Tap on the Audiobooks tab.
  3. Select your audiobook and tap on the Play button to start listening.

Are audiobooks free on Spotify?
