The Bookseller – Rights – Quercus signs poetry anthology from Bennett and Shaeffer

The Poetry Exchange is an award-winning podcast hosted by Bennett and Shaeffer where they discuss with guests the poem that “has been a friend to them”. Previous guests have included actor Andrew Scott, author and journalist Krista Tippett and actor Brian Cox. In their first anthology together Bennett and Shaeffer present a collection of poems, chosen by readers, alongside the personal stories of connection. Poems as Friends will feature classic poems alongside some from lesser known poets.

Sandelson said: “It has been such a joy working on Poems as Friends – I have loved discovering new poems among old favourites and I know readers will too.”

Bennett and Shaeffer added:  “Compiling this anthology has been the most enriching, heart-warming creative project. We are thrilled to be bringing this book into the world with Quercus and to be sharing Poems as Friends with readers far and wide.”
