Instead of complaining about the heat, the Garden District Book Shop is using it as inspiration for its new summer series. The Dog Days of Summer will feature daily happy hour specials from the book shop’s new bar, fun activities, informative classes, food pop-ups, and movie screenings. From “crafternoons” to silent reading time to board games, the shop truly has something for everyone.
The series will start Saturday, June 1 and take place daily through Wednesday, July 31 (except for the Juneteenth and Fourth of July holidays). Swing by Monday-Friday from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 3-5 p.m. The full calendars are available online.
