Muscat: As part of the cultural activities of the 22nd Muscat International Book Fair, a lecture on the culture and significance of design and the main elements of design was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Ali Maslahi.
The lecture also discussed the history of design and the early beginnings of design, the stages of development of design among other aspects. On the same occasion, the National Youth Committee organised a workshop at Bin Darid Hall of Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on writing of very short stories.
The workshop targeted students within the age group 15-18 years whose mother language is Arabic. Meanwhile the Geological Society of Oman taking part in Muscat International Book Fair displayed a number of books in the field of geology published by the Geological Society of Oman in Arabic and English and a few in German and Spanish.
Among the books written in English was the book titled “Field Guide to the Geology of Northeastern Oman”.
The 22nd edition of Muscat International Book Fair, featuring 450,000 titles from 750 global publishers.
It is ranked among the best three book fairs in the Gulf region and among the best 10 in the Arab World.
