    .
  • Readers can look forward to another thrilling adventure in
    The Hunger Games
world, scheduled for release on March 18, 2025.

The Hunger Games book series continues in 2025, with author Suzanne Collins writing another entry in the dystopian novel series. The core stories in the young adult series includes a trilogy following Katniss Everdeen, as well as The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, a prequel about a younger Coriolanus Snow. The Hunger Games movies have adapted all the author’s work for the big screen, with stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Tom Blyth portraying core characters from the books.

Now, Variety has reported that Collins is working on another entry in The Hunger Games universe, slated for release On March 18, 2025. The book, titled Sunrise on the Reaping, takes place 40 years after the events of Songbirds & Snakes. It will be set during the Second Quarter Quell, meaning Haymitch could return. The author says it will involve ideas of narrative control and believing those who are in power. Check out what Collins had to say about the upcoming novel below:

With ‘Sunrise on the Reaping,’ I was inspired by David Hume’s idea of implicit submission and, in his words, ‘the easiness with which the many are governed by the few. The story also lent itself to a deeper dive into the use of propaganda and the power of those who control the narrative. The question ‘Real or not real?’ seems more pressing to me every day.

More to come…
