Patrick J. Adams, Jerrika Hinton Join Season 2 Cast of Fox Crime Anthology (Exclusive)

Suits alum Patrick J. Adams and Grey’s Anatomy grad Jerrika Hinton are the latest cast additions to Accused Season 2 on Fox, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Based on the BBC’s BAFTA Award-winning crime anthology and developed by Howard Gordon, Fox’s Accused each season serves up collection of topical and human stories of crime and punishment. Told from the defendant’s point of view through flashbacks, each episode promises a provocative thriller, exploring a different crime, in a different city, and with an entirely original cast.

Hinton and Adams will both appear in the Season 2 installment “Marcus’ Story,” in which a tech entrepreneur creates software that when used takes a dark turn. Hinton will play Lycia and Adams will play Pete, while Nick Cannon, as previously announced, will fill the role of Marcus.

In the Sony Pictures Television production, Hinton and Adams join a Season 2 roster that already boasts Justin Chambers (Grey’s Anatomy), Danny Pino (Law & Order: SVU), Taylor Schilling (Orange Is the New Black), William H. Macy (Shameless), Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives) and Season 1 returnee Michael Chiklis.

Accused Season 2 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 8/7c, where it will lead into the Kristin Kreuk-led mystery drama Murder in a Small Town.
