Prime Video Unveils Official Trailer for Horror Anthology Series “Them: The Scare”

Prime Video has sent shivers down the spines of horror enthusiasts today with the release of the official trailer for its upcoming horror anthology series, “Them: The Scare.” This second installment promises a spine-chilling ride, set to premiere on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

Following the success of the first installment, subtitled “Covenant” and set in 1952 Compton, the new series will transport viewers to 1991 Los Angeles. Amidst the backdrop of a city teetering on the brink of chaos, LAPD Homicide Detective Dawn Reeve takes center stage. Played by the talented Deborah Ayorinde, Reeve finds herself entangled in a harrowing investigation following the brutal murder of a foster home mother that sends shockwaves through the community.

As Reeve delves deeper into the case, ominous forces begin to converge, gripping both her and her family in a malevolent embrace. Pam Grier joins the cast as “Athena,” alongside Grammy-nominated musician and actor Luke James as “Edmund Gaines.” The ensemble also features Joshua J. Williams, Jeremy Bobb, Wayne Knight, Carlito Olivero, Charles Brice, and Iman Shumpert, promising a stellar performance from start to finish.

“Them: The Scare” is a joint production between Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Little Marvin, the series creator, takes the helm as showrunner and executive producer, alongside Miri Yoon, Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment, and Steve Prinz.

Horror aficionados and thrill-seekers alike can prepare for a chilling journey into the heart of darkness as “Them: The Scare” promises to redefine the horror anthology genre once again.
