Mascot Books has published “Dear Dragon and the Birthday Wish,” a children’s book by Great Falls resident Tara Joy Ahrens with illustrations by Amelia Jones.
The tale follows young Joy and her stuffed dragon on a whimsical birthday adventure.
“Through fluffy clouds and into a stunning castle, they chase their dreams and follow their hearts,” the publisher said. It encouraged readers to “dive into a tale of friendship and enchantment that will leave you brimming with joy.”
Ahrens said she hopes young readers will let their imaginations run wild.
“I purposely used big colorful pictures to cater to children who can make up stories as they look at the illustrations, as that helped me as a child,” she said.
