Historical writer celebrates new book with book signing

A historical fiction writer will be visiting Weymouth for a special book signing event.

Somerset writer, Justin Newland, is celebrating the launch of his new novel, The Mark of the Salamander.

He will be signing copies at WH Smith on 87 – 89 St Mary Street, Weymouth, Dorset 10.30am to 3.30 pm on Saturday, June 29.

The novel is the first in a two-book The Island of Angels series that tells the story of England’s coming of age during the Elizabethan era.

The second book, The Midnight of Eights, is due out in October this year, which will chart the uncanny coincidences that culminated in the repulse of the Spanish Armada

Author, speaker and broadcaster, Justin Newland likes to mix different genres in his writing from historical adventure to supernatural thriller and magical realism.

He gives regular talks to historical associations and libraries and has also appeared on LitFest panels.
