Katie Price issues ‘PTSD’ warning about her new book as she prepares to tell ‘whole truth’

Katie Price has issued a stark warning to fans about her new book, cautioning that it could potentially trigger Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The mum-of-five’s latest autobiography, titled This Is Me, is set to hit the shelves on Thursday 18 July – and promises to reveal “the true story behind the headlines”.

The book will delve into Katie’s past relationships, family issues, struggles with addiction and other personal traumas. However, Katie has warned that the content is not for the faint-hearted. Speaking to The Sun, Katie revealed: “There’s actually a warning at the beginning of the book that you could get PTSD from reading it, because it’s quite a serious book.”

The 46 year old star, who recently revealed her real name is actually Katrina Alexander Alexia Price, explained that penning the book was a therapeutic process for her, helping her confront and move past some of the challenging situations she’s faced over the years. She said: “People now see really what I’ve been through and hopefully they will realise I am a human being, not a product and I do have feelings.”

Recently, the former glamour model took to social media to promote her book, telling her followers that their perception of her might change after reading it, reports the Mirror. In an emotional Instagram confession, Katie spilled: “People have no idea what things I’m having to deal with behind the scenes. People have to remember I’m living it and I have lived it, I don’t know how I came through it, but I did. Because I knew if I didn’t change things myself and mentally, I wouldn’t be here.”

The reality TV star further opened up stating “I think people just need to give me a break and get to know me. I don’t deserve a lot of things that people say. I think once people read the book, then they’ll judge me differently.”

However, one person who might not be thrilled about the upcoming tell-all biography is Katie’s ex-beau, Carl Woods. Their relationship ended in 2023 after a roller-coaster of ups and downs. It’s speculated that Carl is worried about ending up on the receiving end of Katie’s piercing remarks, as she has written about her previous partners Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler in the past.

An insider offered some insight to The Sun saying: “He won’t stand for Katie putting out a warped view of their time together and is vowing to undo any claims and expose secrets from their relationship if that should happen. Katie shouldn’t underestimate him. Carl insists he has all the evidence he needs to rubbish any negative claims. He’s remained quiet since their split and is happy to leave Katie alone, but he is determined not to become the latest ex to be pulled apart in a book.”

Katie is currently dating Married at First Sight star JJ Slater, and the pair were recently spotted together at the Lucky Cat restaurant in London on a night out.
