Katie Price says she’s ‘overwhelmed’ as she shares message after new book revelations

Former glamour model Katie Price has thanked her fans for their ‘loyal support’ as she admitted to feeling ‘overwhelmed’ ahead of her latest book release this week

Katie Price ‘grateful’ for support over new autobiography

Katie Price has insisted she will show her haters “how wrong they have been” as she thanked her fans.

The former glamour model, 46, is gearing up to release her latest book where she insists she will tell “the true story behind the headlines”. It is believed to touch on her previous relationships, family, trouble with addiction and trauma. This Is Me will give an updated reflection on her life in the spotlight.

In a message to her fans ahead of its release date, she said: “I’m so, so, so overwhelmed by all the support for my book This Is Me! Thank you honestly to each and every one of you. Out this Thursday and still available to preorder and don’t forget I’ll be celebrating on Wednesday with an event at Royal Vauxhall Tavern. Can’t wait to see you there!”

She also shared a video message and added: “I would just like to a massive thank you for all the support, all the messages I have had about my new autobiography. All the support I have had. Hopefully it will show all them haters how wrong they have been about me. I want to get my book to number one so there’s still time to pre-order it. It would make me so happy and actually really emotional for once. You might see some emotion from me. Well, you will when you read the book.

“Also don’t forget, if you want to come and see me on stage talking about my book and me performing, it is not too late. It is on Wednesday and you can still get tickets for it and a book. I will be signing away. Thank you so much, I know I have some loyal support out there. Thank you so much to everyone.”

The Pricey’s new autobiography is out to buy on July 18. Katie has even warned fans it’s not for the faint-hearted, and there’s a risk of developing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from reading it. Katie told The Sun: “There’s actually a warning at the beginning of the book that you could get PTSD from reading it, because it’s quite a serious book.”

The mum-of-five explained that writing the book was cathartic, and helped her to deal with some of the awful situations she found herself in over the years. Katie said: “People now see really what I’ve been through and hopefully they will realise I am a human being, not a product and I do have feelings.”

Speaking to her followers on Instagram about what will be revealed in her book, Katie shared: “People have no idea what things I’m having to deal with behind the scenes. People have to remember I’m living it and I have lived it, I don’t know how I came through it, but I did. Because I knew if I didn’t change things myself and mentally, I wouldn’t be here. I think people just need to give me a break and get to know me. I don’t deserve a lot of things that people say. I think once people read the book, then they’ll judge me differently.”

In a snippet of her book, Katie recalled being sexually assaulted in front of her young children and revealed the lasting impact the trauma has had on her mental health. She also recalled being sexually assaulted when she was just seven years old as well as revealing she was pregnant at 16 before tragically losing the baby.
