Meghan Markle banned Prince Harry from being seen with David Beckham, it has been claimed. Author Tom Bower makes the claim in his book The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been feuding with the Beckhams for several years. The British couple were guests at Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding in May 2018, however, they are no longer on speaking terms with the Sussexes.
Bower claims that the Duchess of Sussex banned Prince Harry from being photographed with David Beckham at an Invictus Games event due to fears it would upstage them. The author said: “Beckham found himself alone at the Invictus Games stadium. Arriving on the agreed day to meet Prince Harry he was perplexed [as to] why officials were playing a dance to keep him happy, but away from Harry.”

Bower added: “Photographs of the two together were forbidden. The royal snub was brutal. David Beckham was puzzled. The author continued: “The exclusion order, it later transpired, was issued by Meghan.
“She did not want any competition in the media from Beckham, and especially not from his wife Victoria.”
In the same book, Bower alleges that the Duchess of Sussex was given thousands of pounds worth of clothes and accessories by Victoria Beckham to promote the ex-Spice Girls star’s brand.
The Duchess of Sussex had been handed a “coat, dress, boots and a handbag worth £6,000” for royal Christmas festivities at Sandringham House as part of a marketing drive for the former Wag’s fashion line. Bower wrote: “Victoria agreed to provide a coat, dress, boots and a handbag worth £6,000 to Meghan for the Royal Family’s traditional Christmas Day parade in Sandringham.”
