New book creates definitive Star Wars Legends timeline

Author Trevor Davey announced on Twitter that his book The Definitive Star Wars Legends Timeline is now available for order. “Compiled here, for the first time in print, is his life’s work,” recounts the summary on Lulu, “The complete timeline order of every Star Wars story ever written between 1976-2014. Over 1,000 separate stories, over 4,500 separate timeline entries, accompanied by over 1,500 footnotes – this is the most comprehensive and detailed timeline of the Legends era ever written.”

Davey shared on Twitter his passion for the project along with some sample pages of what fans can expect, saying, “This book has been a 2 year labour of love as I have reread every book and comic (and so much more) of the Legends era to deliver the only timeline a Star Wars book nerd will ever need.”

At the time of writing this, The Definitive Star Wars Legends Timeline is only available to purchase on Lulu for $19.99. However, Davey expressed his overwhelming gratitude at the warm reception for his new book, confirming that he is looking into how to put it on Amazon and Kindle since there was a demand for it.

It’s wonderful to see Star Wars Legends get some love like this. While it’s not an official Lucasfilm or Del Rey novel, it’s exciting that fans are passionate about creating their own projects. Legends is still important and continues to influence current Star Wars storytelling. Not a month goes by when I write up my previews of upcoming books and comics without Legends works in the mix. It’s not forgotten and clearly loved, as Davey has shown here.
