Author of award winning book, Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins has announced a new series, which will be turned into a film soon.
The title of the new series will be “Sunrise on the reaping” set to be out on March 18, 2025, but will officially come into theatres by 2026.
Lionsgate, the film company that made the Hunger Games, is also making a movie based on Sunrise on the Reaping.
The Hunger Games was a massive hit with the first four books selling over 100 million copies and were translated into many languages. After the last book, Mockingjay, came out in 2010, it seemed like the story was over.

In 2015, the author, Suzanne Collins, even said it was time to write about new things. But then, to everyone’s surprise, she announced a new book in 2020! This new book, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, took place way before the first book, going back 64 years.
The head of Lionsgate film studios, Adam Fogelson, praised Suzanne Collins, calling her a “master storyteller” who guides their creative vision. He said they’re lucky to work with her because of her amazing talent and imagination.
Fans can also look forward to even more Hunger Games content! The film based on the recent book, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, came out last year with new actors Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler.
