Saturday Kitchen’s Matt Tebbutt supported as he announces new move away from TV | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Matt Tebbutt was flooded with support as he announced career news away from Saturday Kitchen. The 50-year-old is best known for fronting the BBC programme since 2016, taking over from James Martin as permanent presenter.

The chef has now revealed a new venture away from TV, revealing he has written a new book. Matt shared the news on Instagram, giving fans a sneak peek of the different recipes featured in his book, titled Matt Tebbutt’s pub food.

He wrote: “Hot off the press, my new cookbook! A shot of my FACE and also some of my favourite recipes that you’ll find inside. You can pre-order now at all good booksellers. Link in my Bio. Matt Tebbutt’s Pub Food.”

The BBC star was inundated with messages of support from his friends and followers as they took to the comments to congratulate him.

Former A Place in the Sun presenter Amanda Lamb wrote: “Well done you… will obviously expect my freebie signed copy in the post and I’ll head to Waterstones to “rearrange” the shelves xx.”

“Congratulations,” added Strictly Come Dancing pro Johannes Radebe. Another penned: “How exciting!! Will order immediately!!”

A fourth echoed: “That’s very exciting. Will look forward to my copy.” Someone else declared: “Fabulous stuff!!! Will pop on my wish list!” Matt recently announced that he will be appearing at Rock Oyster Festival this year.

The Rock Oyster Festival account shared the news in a joint Instagram post, writing: “We’re excited to have Matt Tebbutt down with us at Rock Oyster this year! So excited, that we had a chat with him about cooking, Cornwall, and his upcoming time with us at Rock Oyster this summer.”

Quizzed on what he is most looking forward to about the festival, the TV host said: “It’ll be my first time there and everyone tells me it’s going to be lots of fun. There’s a great line-up of chefs and live music. I can’t wait to start.”

The four-day festival is taking place on the banks of the Camel Estuary on the Cornish Coast from 27 – 30 July. Matt was also asked about what he enjoys doing when he visits Cornwall.

He responded: “I’m hoping the weather will be good because I do love the beaches and swimming, whenever possible, in the sea. The Cornish coastline is stunning and the food and drink isn’t bad either!”
