The Biker Mice From Mars Return in Epic New Comic Book Series

In case you missed the news, the Biker Mice From Mars franchise is making a big comeback in 2024 as part of the NacelleVerse shared universe. With Biker Mice From Mars #1 nearing release, IGN can exclusively debut a new preview of the Oni Press series.

Check out the slideshow gallery below for a closer look at this epic reimagining of an iconic ’90s franchise:

Biker Mice From Mars is written by Melissa Flores (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) and drawn by Francis Portela (Green Lantern). The series features covers by Portela, Dustin Weaver (Avengers) Juan Gedeon (DC: The Jurassic League), Roger Cruz (X-Men: Age of Apocalypse), and Ramon Villalobos (Nighthawk). Here’s Oni Press’ official description of the series:

Best friends Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie were just three anthropomorphic, motorcycle-riding mice who called Mars home . . . and were always bad to the bone. But when the ruthless Plutarkian races stage a mass invasion to strip their planet of its precious resources, their antiauthoritarian streak is going to turn into a full-blown insurgency. Only the Biker Mice from Mars can prevent the mass destruction of Earth’s nearest neighbor . . . and the freedom of our entire solar system may just hang in the balance.

Biker Mice From Mars is a three-issue limited series that ties into the three other series that make up the initial NacelleVerse lineup – Roboforce, Sectaurs and Power Lords. Look for Biker Mice From Mars #1 to be released on July 17.

And not to worry, Biker Mice From Mars will also be returning to the small screen in the near future. The Nacelle Company is developing a RoboForce series, executive produced by Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Brian Gewirtz, Hiram Garcia and Seven Bucks Productions, and a Biker Mice From Mars series, executive produced by Ryan Reynolds and Maximum Effort. And, of course, there are new toys up for grabs, including a very cool wave of updated Biker Mice From Mars figures.

In other comic book news, Marvel’s flagship Star Wars and Darth Vader comics are ending in September, and we’ve got an exclusive first look at the psychedelic graphic novel Jimi Hendrix: Purple Haze.
