Vivek Ramaswamy’s New Book ‘TRUTHS: The Future of America First’ to Release in September  – American Kahani

Former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will balancing his new book this September. Titled “TRUTHS: The Future of America First,” it will be published by Threshold Editions, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. In the book, the Indian American  “reveals how brutal honesty about controversial subjects, from climate change to gender ideology to the existence of God, is a requirement for the continued existence of the United States,” according to a press release from the publisher. He also“lifts the curtain on cynical forces exploiting Americans by dividing them through falsehood and lays out a vision for the future direction of the America-First movement — one that began in 1776,” the release added. Additionally, he “calls on the conservative movement to articulate exactly what it stands for, or else warns of another illusory red wave,’” this year.

In an email announcing the book, Ramaswamy recalled a promise made to his supporters when he suspended his presidential campaign in January, after which he endorsed Trump. “I told you when I ended my presidential campaign that the TRUTH movement wasn’t over, that it was just beginning, he said. “And it is. You’ve been with me since the start, and I’m so glad to tell you first that I’m releasing a new book, “TRUTHS: The Future of America First.”

In the email, he pointed out that “conservatives need a clear vision for the Republican party this election season if we don’t want a repeat of the abysmal results at the ballot box in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2023.” His book “offers a vision for that future,” he added. “To chart a new path, we must stand for truth. The modern left has abandoned truth, often dismissing it as an inconvenient social construct.” In the book, he “lays out ten hard truths that the American conservative movement must embrace wholeheartedly, if we stand a chance of saving our nation before we permanently lose it.” 

Ramaswamy also runs a weekly podcast called “TRUTH,” where he “transcend standard conservative talking points and have frank conversations with his guests about the major news stories of the week,” according to its description. He will also share his “viewpoints on the upcoming 2024 election from the unique perspective of a former GOP presidential candidate himself.” 

USA Today noted that Ramaswamy’s “MAGA-style commentary” in the podcast is “driving the rookie politician into the conversation as an unconventional pick to be Donald Trump’s vice presidential running mate or member of the Republican’s potential administration.” It is believed that the millennial and a multi–millionaire “could help attract a younger generations of voters to the 78-year-old Trump’s campaign— and help fund it,” the report added. 

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ramaswamy graduated summa cum laude in biology from Harvard and received his J.D. from Yale Law School, while working at a hedge fund. He then started a biotech company, Roivant Sciences, where he oversaw the development of five drugs that went on to become FDA-approved. He has since founded numerous successful companies, including Strive and Chapter. He is married to Dr. Apoorva Ramaswamy, a throat surgeon in Columbus, Ohio, where they are raising their two sons.

In May, he acquired a 7.7% stake in BuzzFeed, boosting the stock prices of the struggling media company. He said he wants to be an “activist investor with plans to shake up the company, including a shift in strategy,” a securities filing revealed, adding that the shares were acquired with his own funds.
