Knowing that, iconic French luxury fashion house YSL have brought the friends of the brand into the fold for their latest publishing venture, featuring the duo in the latest instalment of their “Editions” project. Created and imagined by the mind of YSL creative director Anthony Vaccarello, this newest selection of imagery leaves the reading and writing to the authors as bold images fill out the expansive new picture book, with the rather plain array of stills capturing Kravitz and Allen White in their everyday environments, exuding a raw sense of simplicity. This mundane sense of normality adds to the vulnerable creative vision, with both stars being half-clad in YSL wear to continue this ongoing affection for “messy chic” in the world of high fashion, all the while extending the lineage of sex appeal that Yves Saint Laurent has historically projected.
