POET and author Mzwakhe Mbuli encourages people to order his latest poetry book.
The Joburg-based author mentioned that orders can be placed online or via phone calls for his book, Voice of Reasons.
Known as The People’s Poet, the 64-year-old shared this on his Instagram account, urging people to order this amazing poetry book on Thursday, 18 July.
This announcement follows his work on the book after his previous poetry book, Before Dawn, was banned in the 90s.
Speaking to Daily Sun, he revealed that his new poetry book, Voice of Reason, contains a collection of 80 poems.
He released the book on 1 July this year.
“Readers will gain knowledge and their perspectives on current issues will be broadened. I am delighted because my first poetry book, ‘Before Dawn,’ was banned,” he stated.

The poet expressed that the ban by the Apartheid regime has kept his inner smile alive, and he is happy about it.
“I consider myself a victor, not a victim. I faced no challenges in writing, except to say it was long overdue,” he added.
“The book was released in the first week of July. I am also the founder of the Siyabakhumbula Awards, which have been running since 2010,” he mentioned.
Mzwakhe noted that he is the brains behind the glitz and glamour of these awards.
“In 2012, the Soweto Theatre was officially opened. The Mayoral Committee of Johannesburg City assigned me to write a prose about SOWETO,” he shared.
He is currently writing prose about Soweto.
