Actor Steven Ogg is well known for his role as Simon in The Walking Dead and the voice of Trevor Philips in Grand Theft Auto V. Ogg has recently begun sharing bits of poetry on social media. This led to the publication of his first book, Catharse – is Volume 1.
The book, from the UK-based publisher Pegasus Publishers, is a collection of Ogg-mented realities of the cathartic moments people experience. His thought is that by sharing, people will feel less alone and begin to heal, something that helped him in his own life. “Ogg hopes that this book provides the opportunity to support us all in moving forward with hope and a little less pain in our hearts. Read aloud for further enjoyment.”
Ogg stars in the BBC mini-series Boiling Point, which was released on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2023 and now streams on Netflix. The series is a continuation and standalone sequel to the 2021 film of the same title. It was created by Philip Barantini, James Cummings, and Stephen Graham and stars many of the film’s cast. Barantini directs the first two episodes, with Mounia Akl directing the final two of the four-part series, which has a 100% ranking on Rotten Tomatoes.
The series is a sequel to the original film based on a 2019 short film, also directed by Barantini and starring Graham. Boiling Point, the series, is set six months after the events of the movie. Carly (Vinette Robinson) now owns and runs her own restuarant with the staff of her former boss Andy (Graham).
Ogg joined the cast of Boiling Point as sous-chef Nick, with Stephen Graham, Vinette Robinson, and Hannah Walters reprising their original roles from the film, as do Ray Panthaki, Gary Lamont, Áine Rose Daly, Taz Skylar, Daniel Larkai, Stephen McMillan, Hannah Traylen, and Izuka Hoyle.
In 2024, Ogg reprised his role as the Savior named Simon in The Walking Dead spinoff, Dead City. This story was told in flashbacks of the time when Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) was ruling over his minions at the Sanctuary, a story that was a focus of the main series.
He has global notoriety for the role of Trevor in the Grand Theft Auto V video games. He is also known for his role as Rebus in Westworld, an HBO series, Sobchak in AMC’s Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul, Pike in the TNT series Snowpiercer, and in AppleTV’s movie Emancipation.
Ogg will also appear in many Indie features, including Blind River, Darth Match, Hazard, The Dresden Sun, The Ghost Trap, Scared Sh**less, and most recently, wrapped Concessions.
