Top 6 literary festivals in India


1. Mumbai International Literary Festival
Visit the Bollywood capital and be a part of the fifth Mumbai International Literary festival being held between October 30&nbspand November 2, 2014. This year&rsquos festival will witness high profile speakers such as Barkha Dutt, Shashi Tharoor, Gulzar and Chetan Bhagat.

2. Kochi International Book Festival
This year&rsquos festival in Kerala has various activities lined up such as literary and art competitions, poet meets, cultural evenings, literary workshops, book launches and literary encounters. The 18th Kochi International Book festival will be held from November 29&nbspto December 8, 2014.

3. Goa Arts and Literary Festival
Attend literary events, book launches and visit the popular beaches of Goa for some sun and sand experience. The fifth year of The Goa Arts and Literary festival will be held from December 4&nbspto 7, 2014. October 2014 also saw the launch of the first Writers and Readers festival in the capital city of Panaji.

4. Jaipur Literature Festival
The festival in the Pink City of Rajasthan has gained the attention of the literary travellers from all over the globe.The Jaipur Literature Festival at the historic Diggi Palace runs from January 21&nbspto 25, 2015. Entry to the event is free. Expect some fantastic literary and musical programmes.

5. Hyderabad Literary Festival
The Hyderabad Literary Festival, now in its fifth year, will be held from January 23&nbspto 26, 2015. The festival schedule includes conversations with authors, reading, panel discussion, workshop and book launches as well as cultural programmes, all for free.

6. Lucknow Literary Festival
Running from February 13&nbspto 15, 2015, the third Lucknow Literary festival promises to be a flagship literary and cultural event hosted in the metropolitan capital of Uttar Pradesh.
