New Creepshow Anthology and Preview Revealed by Skybound

Skybound and Image Comics have announced a third volume of Creepshow, the popular comic book anthology inspired by Greg Nicotero’s hit television series. The new anthology will launch with an issue featuring stories by Chip Zdarsky, Kagan McLeod and James Stokoe.

In the spirit of Creepshow’s television series, each issue of the five-part anthology series will come packed with two stories featuring different creative teams from around the entertainment industry. Skybound has revealed information for the first issue of the anthology, including its main cover by Martin Morazzo and Chris O’Halloran as well as a variant by James Stokoe. A set of connecting 1:10 incentive variants has also been announced with art by Steve Beach, with cover art expected to be revealed closer to Creepshow Vol. 3 #1’s arrival on Sept. 25.

Skybound’s solicits for the first issue of Creepshow Vol. 3 reads: “In the debut issue of the third volume, writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Kagan McLeod bring you the terrifying tale of a repressed housewife who decides to take matters into her own hands and rescue her daughter from a local psychedelic cult…but the true terror is not what anyone expects! Then, James Stokoe introduces a chilling mystery of a severed human hand, and the lengths one writer will go to discover the truth, learning that perhaps he is not the author of this story…. ”

Creepshow’s Award-Winning Anthology to Feature All-Star Creative Lineup

With the first issue of the new anthology arriving in September, Skybound also unveiled more of the talented artists working on the rest of the upcoming issues. The creative roster includes John Ridley (12 Years a Slave), Mike Carey (Lucifer), Jorge Fornes (Batman), John Arcudi (BPRD), Ed Brisson (The Displaced), Stefano Raffaele (Detective Comics), Chris Condon (That Texas Blood), with more to be announced.
