Kaia Gerber Goes Boho for Book Club

Kaia Gerber is all in on a boho summer.

The model and actor ran errands in Los Angeles in a sheer white Dôen top with lace panels, which she wore over a black bra—a classic pairing beloved by one Carrie Bradshaw (and yours truly). But while she declined to don the Carrie Bradshaw Manolos, she did make the look Gerberesque with a pair of slim-fitting navy trousers and black ballet flats.

Gerber accessorized with staple pieces: a black leather Celine Tilly bag and oversized black sunglasses. But no Kaia Gerber look is complete without a book in hand. She lugged around a canvas tote bag, repping the name of her new book club, Library Science. The voracious reader also carried around a paperback—the title of which wasn’t captured by photographers.

Library Science marks a new venture for the model, who used to run a book club on her Instagram. In the past, she’s flexed her literary prowess, hosting talks with Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar Jones about Sally Rooney’s Normal People, and interviewing Jia Tolentino about her essay collection Trick Mirror.

Clearly, Gerber knows that nothing is more fashionable than being well-read. But if all book clubs were this chic, we think more people would be inclined to join.
