The TV book club “Between the Covers” is taking to the road with a live version of the BBC Two series.
Kicking off at the Richmond Theatre on 1st June, the tour will feature Joseph O’Connor, Kacey Ainsworth, Jo Brand and Stephen Mangan. It will take place in Oxford, Nottingham, Birmingham Reading and Brighton, and tickets will go on sale on 22nd March.
The tour will be hosted by Amanda Ross, executive producer of “Between the Covers”, and will feature the book-group members talking about their favourite titles. A bookshop will be set up at each venue, with signings taking place after the show.
“We are constantly told by our viewers that the TV show is way too short, and that they would love to join in the ultimate fantasy book group – well, this is their chance,” Ross said. “We couldn’t be more excited to take the show around the country and meet the viewers.”
Ainsworth added: “As a professional escapologist, books are the ultimate instrument of choice. And with the advent of audio books, more people than ever can escape into a world of words”.
