CHARLOTTE – Claire the Highland cow is back to teach young readers about “coo-rage.”
Author Jamie Campbell returns with her third book in her “Highland Coo” series, “Coo-rageous,” published by Warren Publishing.
Claire the Highland coo is excited when she’s invited to her first sleepover with Gracie, her human sister. Gracie has Claire so pampered, she’s ready to “mooove” in. That is until an unwanted intruder tries to break into the house, leaving poor Claire “udderly” terrified.
Claire faces her fears and teaches readers the importance of listening to “your gutsy inner voice.” She has to dig deep to find the “coo-rage” to stop the intruder. With a loud “moooooo,” she protects her family, not letting fear get the best of her.
The story encourages children to be brave, teaching the lesson that taming our fears can lead to inspiring acts.
“This series exemplifies the importance of communication with children so that they can lead a life aware of their emotions and what is happening around them,” Campbell said.
She uses a touching friendship and an cute character to provide a story that families can share about maintaining a brave heart in the face of danger.
Campbell, a farm girl from North Carolina, started her “coo-lection” of fictional farm adventures a couple of years ago with “The Coo Jumped Over the Moon,” followed by “Coo-tagious,” and now, her third in the series, Coo-rageous. Her fourth book, “Coo-feinated,” is underway.
These books can be ordered on Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com and warrenpublishing.net.
