Donald Trump makes strange comment on Taylor Swift’s ‘beauty’ in new book

Former President Donald Trump has offered his unique view on Taylor Swift’s “unusual beauty” in his latest book.

The new tome, Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass, traces his journey to reality TV fame and offers insight into his opinions on various stars.

In an interview with co-writer Ramin Setoodeh in November 2023, who is also the editor of Variety, Trump – who is father to 18-year-old Barron – was asked for his thoughts on numerous celebrities including the Grammy-award-winning singer.

He quickly lauded Swift, stating: “She’s got a great star quality. She really does.”

Trump – who has lashed out at Hunter Biden following his guilty verdict – also focused on the pop star’s appearances in his newest publication. According to him: “I think she’s beautiful – very beautiful! I find her very beautiful. I think she’s liberal. She probably doesn’t like Trump. I hear she’s very talented I think she’s very beautiful, actually – unusually beautiful!”

However, he did confess one gripe – her perceived political leanings. Trump mused over Swift’s position, asking Setoodeh: “She is liberal, or is that just an act?”

“She’s legitimately liberal? It’s not an act? It surprises me that a country star can be successful being liberal.”

Starting out as a beloved country performer, Taylor has most recently veered towards pop music.

He then commented: “Garth Brooks is liberal. Explain that! How does it happen? But he’s liberal. It’s one of those things..”

The ‘Miss Americana’ star, formerly reticent about her political views, has become vocally expressive in recent elections. After maintaining her silence during the 2016 election, there were speculations about Swift being a secret Republican.

But she disputed this in 2018 with a powerful endorsement of Tennessee Democrats Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House.
