Set 24 years before readers and viewers are introduced to Katniss Everdeen and 40 years after the origin story of Coriolanus Snow, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will tell the story of the reaping behind the Fiftieth Hunger Games. Beyond that, no further information has been revealed but knowing how Collins has approached her novels in the past, the plot is bound to be filled with twists and turns, plenty of drama and romance, and the spirit of revolution.
Oh yeah – and we’ll be introduced to a young Haymitch Abernathy who, in the films, is portrayed by Woody Harrelson.
