Jennifer Aniston’s New Children’s Book On Her Rescue Dog to Release in November

Updated Jun 12, 2024, 18:30 IST

The F.R.I.E.N.D.S star will be taking a new foray into the world of children’s books, owing it all to her furry best friend! Read on to find out more.

Jennifer Aniston’s New Children’s Book On Her Rescue Dog Comes Alive This Fall

Jennifer Aniston, most known for her role playing Rachel Green in the late 90s rom-com ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S,’ will be releasing a new series of children’s books at the age of 55. They will feature her animated rescue dog Clydeo, who is inspired by her real-life rescue Clyde, a grey Schnauzer mixed breed.

The F.R.I.E.N.D.S Star Turn Towards Authorship

She announced the book on June 11 on Instagram, titled ‘Clydeo Takes A Bite Out Of Life’, which will be released on October 1 as part of a shared four-book deal with HarperCollins Publishers.

Notably, it’s in collaboration with the animation studio Invisible Universe, who penned the idea after they created an animation of “Clydeo” back in 2021. Amassing more than 300,000 followers on an Instagram and TikTok account for the dog afterwards, the rescue reached notorious levels of fame amongst the younger generation.

Aniston herself talked about how she could have never imagined how much joy Clydeo would bring to his young fans. She’s excited to take the story to the public as Clydeo finds new life on the printed pages.

What Will The Book Be About?

Illustrated by the Brazillian artist Bruno Jacob, the book will be a brave story of self-discovery and how kids can find self-confidence when exploring new sides of themselves. The book will follow how the young pup discovers his passion for cooking!

Inspired by her real-life pet, the star’s scruffy and lovable pup Clyde is on the platform as @CallMeClydeo. Aniston regularly posts about him and her other dogs, Sophie and Lord Chesterfield, in short clips, videos and stories about the little dog on Instagram.

Although the book will come out on November 1, perfect for any parents looking to pick it up, if you want to make a wholesome difference on your own Instagram feed why not give the fluffy little star a follow?
