Kaleb Cooper Announces New Book

When Clarkson’s Farm first aired back in 2021, the nation quickly fell for Clarkson’s straight-talking fellow farmer Kaleb Cooper. Over the past couple of years the 26-year-old has grown into one of the farming world’s biggest stars, and now he’s documenting his journey in a brand-new book.

Clarkson’s Farm Star To Publish Third Book

Titled It’s A Farming Thing, Kaleb Cooper’s book will offer a behind-the-scenes look into life on Diddly Squat farm, where Cooper works alongside the show’s frontman, Jeremy Clarkson.

A synopsis says the book will ‘shares the highs, lows and unexpected adventures of life at Diddly Squat from wrestling with temperamental tractors to dodging the wrath of cantankerous cows and after all that why he still believes he has the best job in the world.

‘Kaleb reveals his true, loveable, funny and down-to-earth self, with deadpan gags and unique observations that will have you crying with laughter. Utterly hilarious, this is Kaleb as you know and love him, telling the story of how he has become one of the biggest names in farming today.’

Clarkson's Farm

In a quote from the book, Kaleb writes: ‘A lot of those old sayings, “Red sky at night…” and so on, are based on real knowledge. Not that red sky at night really does mean shepherd’s delight – the only thing that’s ever going to delight a shepherd is changing their job and not having to work with sheep any more.’

This isn’t Cooper’s first foray into the literary world: he has already published two books, The World According to Kaleb, and Britain According to Kaleb: The Wonderful World of Country Life.

Born in Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds, Cooper worked on the farm now known as Diddly Squat for a while before it was taken over by former Top Gear host Clarkson. There have now been three seasons of Clarkson’s Farm, with a fourth in the works.

It’s A Farming Thing will be released on 24 October 2024.

The first three seasons of Clarkson’s Farm are available to watch on Prime Video.
