Malcolm Gladwell has a new book on the horizon.

Publisher Little, Brown and Company announced that the bestselling author, 60, will be releasing a new novel called Revenge of the Tipping Point — an updated take on the subject matter he covered in bestseller The Tipping Point: How Little Things Make a Big Difference, which was originally released in 2000.

The new book is slated to bring a “fresh perspective” to ideas that he initially introduced like in The Tipping Point, and will examine things like “social epidemics” with new eyes from a 25-year standpoint, according to a statement by the publisher.

The Tipping Point, discussed how “trends are born, catch on and spread” and launched the global “big idea” phenomenon about how humans view ourselves in the world. Gladwell’s books have since sold more than 23 million copies in North America alone, since The Tipping Point was published.

Gladwell is following up that success with Revenge of the Tipping Point, which seeks to answer several new questions about the world that have sprung up since he published that book like, “What is the Magic Third and what does it have to do with racial equity?” and “What do big cats and clusters of teen suicide have in common?,” according to the book’s synopsis.

It also revisits the idea of “social epidemics” and examines how people have shaped the spread of ideas, viruses and trends, ”sometimes with great success, sometimes with disastrous consequences,” per the book description.

Gladwell’s latest will evaluate how times have changed the way people think “in neighborhoods, schools, zoos or conference rooms” and how people are “more tempted than ever to try to manipulate tipping points for our own ends.” However, Gladwell also warns that these efforts can come at the expense of “difficult tradeoffs and unexpected dilemmas.”

“Above all, we must recognize our responsibility — as individuals and as a society — to take tipping points seriously if we want to change our world for the better. With this thought-provoking new book, his most personal yet, Gladwell gives us the insights we need to meet these challenges in innovative ways,” a synopsis for the book said.
