Actress Alia Bhatt launches her first children’s picture book

Indian actress Alia Bhatt has embarked on a new creative journey, branching out from acting into the realm of children’s literature.

“Ed finds a Home is just the beginning of a new series of books from the universe of Ed-a-mamma.. My chidhood was full of storytelling and storytellers .. and one day I had a dream to bring out that child in me and put it into books for children,” she said in a Facebook post.

While describing it as a “new adventure”, she thanked her fellow storytellers, Vivek Kamath, Shabnam Minwalla and Tanvi Bhat, who with their inputs helped bring her first book to life.

“Fingers crossed for this journey ahead,” the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor said.

The book is published under Alia’s children’s clothing brand, Ed-a-Mamma.

The announcement of Alia’s foray into children’s literature has generated excitement among her fans and the literary community, who are eager to see how the talented actress will translate her creative vision into engaging stories for young readers.

This move into publishing comes as Alia has already established herself as a successful entrepreneur, having launched the Ed-a-Mamma brand that focuses on sustainable and ethically produced children’s clothing.

Earlier in the day, she remembered her grandfather on his birth anniversary as her “favourite storyteller”. She wished her “nana” on his birth anniversary by sharing unseen childhood pictures.
