The renowned Ukrainian poet Halyna Kruk, shortlisted for the prestigious Griffin Poetry Prize, is coming to Montreal. Join us for an exclusive evening of poetry and conversation with Halyna on June 8, 2024, at Le Port de tΓͺte bookstore.
Halyna Kruk will present her latest poetry collection, A Crash Course in Molotov Cocktails. Much of it was written after the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
Yulia Ilchuk (Stanford University) and Amelia M. Glaser (University of California, San Diego) have beautifully translated the collection. The book is bilingual and contains both originally written Ukrainian poetry and English translations.
