Our six winners will get their story read out by a celebrity… How cool is that?
If that’s not enough, the winners in each category will receive lots and lots of other prizes. If you’re one of the two gold winners, you will win the height of Sir Lenny Henry in books and your school will receive 500 books.
The two silver winners will receive the height of Her Royal Majesty Queen Camilla in books and the two bronze winners will receive the average height of a seven or 11-year-old in books. On top of this, we have teamed up with six of the best children’s illustrators to each design one of the winners’ stories. Joelle Avelino, Axel Scheffler and Fiona Lumbers will design one of the 5-7 winners’ category, whilst Steven Lenton, Sue Cheung and Jamie Smart are on board to design the eight to 11-year-old stories.
Each winner will get a special 500 Words book, featuring all the winning stories and illustrations. EVERY STORY which is entered will get put into a random draw for a chance to go to the final, win a bundle of books, 500 books for your school and literacy wall art, too see all the prizes, click here.
