My Favorite Murder True Crime Podcast Hosts Are Writing A Book

Here’s the thing: My Favorite Murder rules. If you haven’t listened yet, go immediately to your nearest podcast provider and get it done. Hosted by US comedians Georgia Hardstark and Karen Kilgariff, it’s true crime but, like, fun. These girls love murder and mayhem as much as you do — no, they’re not encouraging people to go out and kill, but they’re fascinated by stories of people who have.

Anyway, if you’re already a Murderino then you will love this news: the gals have scored themselves a book deal.

yep karen and georgia are authors now

Entitled Stay Sexy And Don’t Get Murdered (of course) — which fans of the podcast know is the girls’ catchphrase — the book won’t just be pervy tales of death and destruction because we already get that every week on the poddy.

Buzzfeed reported on the content of the book, quoting a press release from the book’s publisher, Forge Books.

Sharing never-before-heard stories ranging from their struggles with depression, eating disorders, and addiction, Karen and Georgia irreverently recount their biggest mistakes and deepest fears, reflecting on the formative life events that shaped them into two of the most followed voices in the nation.

According to the press release, the gals will use their own life experiences and stories of true crime to “to discuss meaningful cultural and societal issues” with their trademark bluntness and balls-out honesty.

The two hosts told Buzzfeed that “working on this book has allowed us to dig deeper into some of the stories we have only hinted at on the podcast or haven’t told before at all… We can’t wait to share the results with our listeners.”

Stay Sexy And Don’t Get Murdered is set for publication on May 28, 2019, so here’s hoping I don’t get murdered before then.

Update: you can now pre-order a copy of the book to ensure it is in your hot little hands / on your device the second it comes out. Head HERE for details.
