5 events to enjoy this summer in Hong Kong, from the annual book fair to AniCom – YP

Summer is finally here! Although you’re probably excited to get more sleep and take breaks from schoolwork, you might be wondering how else to fill your time.

From exploring book fairs to tasting flavours from around the world in a food expo, there are endless possibilities for fun activities to make this an unforgettable summer. We’ve rounded up a selection of upcoming events and festivals to keep you busy during the summer – so grab some cold water, make yourself comfortable, and dive into this summer travel guide for our captivating city, Hong Kong.

When: July 17 to 23

Where: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Harbour Road, Wan Chai

Ticket price: HK$30 (Adults), HK$10 (Children)

People look forward to the book fair every year, and this year is no different, especially with its theme, “Film & Television Literature.” While you can find all types of literature, this year, the event will highlight works related to the film and TV industries. This includes screen adaptations of literary works, drama scripts, writings on film culture, and film criticism.

In addition to the book booths, the “World of Art & Culture” exhibition invites you to travel around the world and learn about different perspectives and cultures by immersing yourself in artworks from around the globe; start in Hong Kong by checking out a model of the Kowloon Walled City. If you are looking for beach read page-turners, supplies for the new school year, stationery, or just books for free reading, the book fair is the perfect place for you.
