As the fashion season has come to an official end, Indian designer Rahul Mishra delivered a spectacular show earlier this week at the Paris Fashion Week. Taking to his official Instagram handle, he has shared photos from the same, and what stole limelight was a dress which is a tribute to Lord Brahma.

In the statement piece, the model can be seen wearing a headgear – two sequinned heads extending from either side. The makeup and jewelery were kept minimal as the key focus of the look was the dress. In the caption, Rahul wrote, “The Hindu god Brahma, also known as Trikaldarshi, meaning the seer of all time—the past, present, and future—is the creator of the entire cosmos. In mythology, he is represented with four heads to contemplate all directions at once.”

He further explained that this garment symbolises god Brahma’s intrinsic energy of ‘seer’ with the two faces crafted onto the surface of the silhouette. The aim was to somehow represent the imperceptible nature of god and their creation’s aura surrounding it.

Ever since the photos have been uploaded, Rahul is being lauded for this spectacular creation. Many people expressed amazement in the comment section.

This year, Janhvi Kapoor also walked for the designer at the Paris Fashion Week show, wearing a black top and a fishtail skirt.

Meanwhile, earlier, Demna Gvasalia, who is known for his different approach to fashion, took a different route at the Balenciaga Haute Couture show. He became all about a meditative soundtrack this time, ditching his usual sensory overload. Basically, the guests were encouraged to reconnect with themselves and practice deep breathing and visualize feelings of happiness and contentment.

His show did not only challenged the boundaries of fashion but also shed light on the influence of wellness industry in contemporary life.
