MONTCLAIR, NJ — Some of the brightest names in the world of books will be appearing at the 2024 Montclair Literary Festival.
More than 90 local, national and international authors are expected to take part in Succeed2gether’s eighth annual Montclair Literary Festival, which will take place on April 27 and May 4.

The majority of events are free with no registration required. They will be held in person either at Montclair State University, outside in tents, in the Montclair Public Library and the First Congregational Church, or at Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Montclair.
Proceeds from ticketed events benefit local nonprofit Succeed2gether, which “addresses unequal access to educational resources for low-income families and children from Montclair and Essex County.”
According to a news release from organizers, confirmed authors for the April 27 event include: David Baldacci, Christina Cooke, Annell López, Mariah Stovall, Carlos Lozada, Barbara McQuade, Richie Hofmann, Deborah Landau, Nicole Sealey, Heather Clark, Vinson Cunningham, Boo Trundle, Anastasia Rubis, Shannon McKenna Schmidt, Elizabeth B. White, Cleyvis Natera, Deborah Paredez, Angie Cruz, Téa Obreht, Professor Sir Angus Deaton, Professor Theresa Ghilarducci, Nell Freudenberger.
Confirmed authors for the May 4 event include: Jason Patterson, Alliah Agostini, Tracey Baptiste, John J. Trause, Christine Adams, Donald Zirilli, Frank Rubino, Alicia Cook, Marcia LeBeau, Joanne Ashe, Nell Irvin Painter, Emily Raboteau, Leslie Jamison, Amitava Kumar, Claire Messud, Caroline Leavitt, Elle Evans, Zibby Owens, Charlee Dyroff, Eskor David Johnson, Jiaming Tang, Rosey Lee, Sandra Newman, Luppe B.
